Patriot air defense system and missile support from the Netherlands to Ukraine
In a written statement, Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren stated that the Netherlands will cooperate with the US and Germany to support the Patriot air defense system project.
Ollongren stated that his country will supply two air defense system launchers and a series of missiles to Ukraine, and 65 Dutch soldiers will train Ukrainian soldiers in Patriot air defense systems.
Emphasizing that the Dutch government’s decision to continue supporting Ukraine is a political signal against Russia, Ollongren noted that they responded to the call of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy with support.
Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, who met US President Joe Biden at the White House on January 17, condemned Russia’s strikes in Ukraine, saying they intend to provide support for Ukraine’s air defense system. (AA)
