Action painted in Paris by climate activists

In France, climate activists sprayed orange parts of the Prime Minister’s building, known as “Matignon”, to protest the government’s inaction to address climate change.

According to French press reports, two climate community activists called Derniere Renovation spray-sprayed doors and walls, including the arches in front of the Prime Minister, with orange paint. Activists criticizing the government for its inability to fight climate change, “Who is to blame?” He carried out his actions wearing patterned T-shirts.

Police intervened and detained the activists, and cleaning crews began working to remove paint from doors and walls. In the images on social networks, it is seen that the police were carrying two activists inside.

In the records, it should be noted that two large bottles of spray paint left over from the detained activists were overturned in front of the Prime Minister.

On the other hand, it was reported in the press that Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne, who returned from the first Council of Ministers of the year, was in her office while activists painted the Prime Ministry building.

Despite signing the Paris Climate Agreement, the French government is accused of missing its carbon emissions targets and being incapable of tackling climate change. The Paris Administrative Court had warned the administration that it had to take a series of measures before the end of 2022 to avoid “ecological damage”. (AA)
