Hard blow from Ukraine to Russia: dozens of soldiers die
It was claimed that nearly 400 Russian soldiers were killed in the missile attack on Russian forces in Donetsk, Ukraine.
Ukrainian media reported that a building believed to be stationed by Russian forces was attacked in the city of Makiyivka. It is claimed that around 400 Russian soldiers were killed and 300 wounded in the attack, but the figure has not been confirmed by independent sources.
Daniil Bezsonov, Russia’s senior designated official in the occupied Donetsk areas, said: “There was a big HIMARS rocket attack sent by the US on the vocational school just after New Year’s Eve.”
The Russian Defense Ministry announced that 63 soldiers were killed as a result of missile attacks from Ukraine.
In recent days, conflicts have escalated in the eastern regions of Ukraine, where separatist forces are also located. Russia has also increased its missile attacks on the capital Kyiv and various parts of the country. The missile strikes are claimed to have targeted critical infrastructure facilities.
