Accusation of preparation of an attack against Iran by Israel
The Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation (KAN) published a story on the subject, based on an unnamed security source.
In the news, it was reported that the Defense Ministry requested an increase of 10 billion shekels ($2.8 billion) for 2023 and 2024, corresponding to a 12 percent increase in the current budget.
“TOO SOLD OUT TO BE TRUE”
It was claimed in the news that such a request was made due to the preparation of a possible military attack against Iran and the collapse of the ministry’s budget caused by inflation, and that the demand for an increase was “too much to be true”.
One of the goals of the newly formed government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
Last year, many Israeli officials said the military was preparing for a possible military attack if Iran had nuclear weapons. (AA)
