Decision on healthcare workers in Greece who are not vaccinated against Covid-19
According to reports in the Greek press, 1,700 health workers, including doctors, nurses and administrative staff, who refused to be vaccinated against Covid-19, have returned to their duties.
The State Council declared the suspension of the employment contracts of unvaccinated health workers unconstitutional and decided to pay the unpaid wages.

In Greece, the government suspended the employment of healthcare workers who did not receive at least one dose of the vaccine until September 1, 2021.
In reaction to the government’s decision, health workers carried out many actions in the country.
Health personnel who are not vaccinated are expected to carry out the Covid-19 test twice a week and use a highly protective KN95 type mask during the work process. (AA)
