Greek opposition continues to lobby against Turkey
Alexis Tsipras, the leader of the Greek opposition party Syriza, is in Brazil for the swearing-in ceremony of Brazilian leader Lula da Silva, who won elections years later and took office again.
It was reported that Tsipras, who the day before had a pose with Lula da Silva, explained Turkey’s movements in the region and expressed his discomfort at this situation, while today it was announced that Tsipras met with the main figures of the Spanish government.
Tsipras met with Díaz, known as the “future president of the Spanish Government.”
It was announced that Tsipras met with Labor Minister Yolanda Díaz, who is known as a rising figure in Spanish politics and has been referred to as “the future prime minister.” It was claimed that Tsipras briefed Diaz on “Turkey’s increasing aggression in the region” and that Greece’s European partners also wanted to send a clear message to Turkey about compliance with international law.
Greek media recalled Pedro Sánchez’s visit to Ankara in 2021.
Although the Greek media pointed out that Ankara and Madrid have established a good relationship and that Spain sells arms and defense industry products to Turkey, he recalled that the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, came to Ankara in November 2021 and signed military and defense industry agreements.
