Poland happy with US decision to send Patriots to Ukraine
Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak, speaking to reporters, referred to the Patriots previously proposed to Poland by Germany.
Recalling that Poland stated that the systems in question should be handed over to Ukraine, Blaszczak said: “We were right on this issue. When we said that the systems should go to Ukraine, we were thinking about the security of Poland, the security of Ukraine, and the security of the entire eastern flank of NATO. The US decision is correct and appropriate. “This will help the country to defend itself effectively against Russian attacks on its critical infrastructure.”
Blaszczak stressed that the US made a “very good” decision, adding that this would reduce the threat of power outages and also decrease the number of Ukrainians who had to leave their homeland due to these problems. (AA)
