Russia: A postal package exploded in the Russian House
According to the statement made by Yevgeniy Primakov, Head of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Citizens Living Abroad and Federal Agency for International Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo), on social media, a terrorist attack was carried out against the Russian House in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic.
An explosion occurred when the director of the Russian House, Dmitriy Sıtıy, opened a package that was sent to the center by post, and Sıtıy was taken to the hospital with injuries.
In the statement from the Russian Embassy in Bangui, it was indicated that the package that exploded in the center came from an unknown location and that security measures at the embassy were increased.
The Russian Foreign Ministry also issued a statement condemning the attack.
