Snow barrier for air travel in England
All flights were suspended at Stansted airport, which had to close its runway in London, the capital of England, due to bad weather conditions.
According to the BBC news, more than 50 flights were canceled or delayed at Heathrow and Gatwick airports following snow, ice and fog that affected the country. In a statement issued by Stansted Airport, it was reported that a single runway was closed last night for snow removal and all flights were suspended.
On the other hand, today the entry and exit of planes to Heathrow airport will be restricted.
In Stansted and Gatwick it has not yet been specified if flights will be cancelled.
Meanwhile, train services were delayed due to bad weather conditions in the country and accidents occurred on some roads.
The yellow weather warning and blackouts for Scotland, London and the South West of England are expected to continue until this morning. (AA)
