After the European Union (EU) and Poland settled their disagreements, the G7 countries and Australia began imposing a $60 price ceiling on oil exported from Russia from December 5.

Speaking to reporters in Bishkek, Putin said: “As for our response, I said that we would not sell to countries that have already made such decisions. If necessary, we will even consider a possible production cut,” he said.
Putin claimed that production cuts are still only a possibility as Russia has a production deal with the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the OPEC+ group of countries acting together.

“We are thinking about it, there is no solution yet. Concrete steps will be announced in Russia’s presidential decree, which will be published in a few days,” she said.
