Afghanistan is mixing it up again! Call ‘Prepare for war’

Hekmatyar referred to the assassination attempt on him last week in a Friday prayer sermon at the mosque at his party’s headquarters.

Stating that the attackers were identified as citizens of Tajikistan based on initial determinations, Hikmetyar said that it is still too early to attribute the attack to any group.

Hekmatyar said the ISIS terror organization’s flag was seized from the raiders’ bags, but it may have been used to hide the real perpetrators.

CALLED “BE READY FOR WAR”

Stating that they abandoned the armed struggle and signed a peace agreement with the previous Afghan government in 2016, Hikmetyar said: “We have to make our decision. Just as we fought against two invaders and their foreign minions. We call on the supporters of Hizbi-i Islami to prepare for a new war and fight.” he used his statements.

Hekmatyar did not make a clear statement about which group he would fight.

Last week, a bomb and gun attack was carried out on the mosque located at the headquarters of the Hizb-i Islamic Party in the Darul Aman region of the capital Kabul during Friday prayers.

With the intervention of Hekmatyar’s bodyguards, the attackers were neutralized and Hekmatyar survived the attack unscathed. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

Hekmatyar, who was also prime minister from 1996-1997, had to leave Kabul in 1996 after the Taliban increased its power in the country.

With the capture of Kabul by the Taliban on August 15, 2021, many leaders left the country, while Hekmatyar preferred to stay in Kabul. (AA)
