Russia-Ukraine War: 120 POWs Freed
Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, said in a statement on his social media account that 60 Ukrainian soldiers were released as a result of the prisoner exchange with Russia.
Noting that 34 of them were among those who fought in the city of Mariupol, which is under the control of Russian forces, Yermak said: “There are wounded among them. “These soldiers will receive the necessary assistance in Ukraine,” he said.
Yermak stated that they will continue working on the prisoner exchange.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry statement, 60 Russian soldiers were released as a result of negotiations with the Ukrainian side.
It was reported that the soldiers will be transported to the capital, Moscow, on planes belonging to the ministry, and they will be given the necessary medical and psychological support.
It was announced that 50 Ukrainian and 50 Russian soldiers were mutually released as part of the Russia-Ukraine prisoner exchange on December 1, for the last time. (AA)
