Critical meeting between Iran and the EU: the latest situation was discussed
Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Emir Abdullahiyan and European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell discussed the “Latest Situation Regarding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (KOEP) and cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)”.
In the statement published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was reported that Foreign Minister Abdullahiyan and EU High Representative Borrell held a telephone conversation.
In the statement, it was claimed that Abdullahiyan and Borrell discussed the latest situation regarding cooperation between Iran and the IAEA and KOEP, known as Iran nuclear negotiations.
During the meeting, Abdullahiyan criticized the “speak contrary to diplomatic courtesy” recently used by some European ministers, arguing that some radical politicians in Europe “used” it to “hide behind the European Union.”
As a result, Abdullahiyan said, “the strategic objectives of the European Union have fallen victim to the ambitions of violent groups and even terrorists who have misinformed these politicians.” he used his statements.
The High Representative of the EU for Foreign Relations and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, has affirmed that the parties are making efforts to return the commitments agreed in Vienna, and has stressed that they will continue their efforts to reach an agreement. (AA)
