The thinnest skyscraper in the world awaits its new owners
With a height of 435 meters, including the decorative steel crown of more than 91 meters at its top, Steinway Tower is the third tallest skyscraper in the Western Hemisphere after One World Trade Center and Central Park Tower in New York City. .
SHoP, the architectural firm that designed the building, draws attention to the fact that Steinway Tower holds the title of “the world’s thinnest skyscraper” with a height to width ratio of 24 to 1.
The prices of the apartments in Steinway Tower, located in the most valuable central part of Manhattan, next to Central Park, in the region described as “billionaires row”, range from 7.75 to 66 million dollars.
Public sources state that the building belonging to the JDS Development Group, built at 111 West 57th Street, cost about 2 billion dollars.

The skyscraper’s façade contains blocks of terracotta, a material that appears to change color and texture when viewed in different lights and from different angles.
The first owners of the 84-story skyscraper, whose construction began in 2013, are said to start moving into their new apartments at the beginning of the year.
