Due to the war that Russia has started in Ukraine, Ketting stopped his activity in Russia for considerations of principle. ‘For me it was very simple: I don’t want to be the one who still has money here, while this regime is there and this war is going on. It was child’s play.’
Chain also does not have a good image for the next generation in Russia. “Future generations can forget the country, nothing good will come of it, as long as we live.” For Ukraine, however, Ketting has a better picture. “They are just moving towards the positive side. This is why it is also important not only to send hundreds of billions to the country (for reconstruction, ed), but also to involve them. We have to start doing things together with the country.’

Humanitarian aid
After he ceased his activities in Russia, he went to work helping Ukraine. He helps the businesswomen of the country, sends humanitarian aid and his latest project is to warm the families. ‘We have started a crowdfunding campaign with a large group of volunteers in the Netherlands to raise money for the stoves. This is one of the many actions we are carrying out right now.’
