Exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine again
In a statement by the Russian Defense Ministry, it was claimed that 50 Russian soldiers were released as a result of negotiations with the Ukrainian side.
The statement indicated that the necessary medical and psychological support was provided to the soldiers and that these people would be transported to the capital, Moscow, on planes belonging to the ministry.
50 UKRAINIAN SOLDIERS FREED
Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, said in a statement on his social media account that 50 Ukrainian soldiers were released as a result of the prisoner exchange with Russia.
Noting that among them there are those who were held in Olenivka and captured in the conflicts at the Azovstal Metallurgical Plant in the Mariupol, Donets, Luhansk and Zaporizhia regions, Yermak stated that they will continue to work on the exchange of prisoners.
There is a prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine from time to time. Finally, on November 26, an exchange of prisoners was carried out.
MORE THAN 14.5 MILLION UKRAINIAN COUNTRIES REMAIN
Ukraine’s parliamentary commissioner for human rights, Dmytro Lubinets, announced that more than 14.5 million Ukrainians have left the country since February 24, when Russia launched the war in Ukraine.
Lubinets said in a written statement: “After February 24, more than 14.5 million Ukrainians left the country and at least 11.7 million of them went to EU countries. 7.7 million people are registered as beneficiaries of temporary protection services in Europe”. he gave the information.
Lubinets also reported that 4.7 million Ukrainians were internally displaced due to the ongoing war. (AA)
