Iran Defends Arrested Foreign Media Workers Linked to ‘USA’

According to Iran’s semi-official Tesnim news agency, incoming DMO deputy commander Fedevi made a statement about those detained in the recent events in the country at a conference he attended in the capital Tehran.

Referring to some people detained during the protests in Iran, Fedevi said: “In the recent riots, we have arrested several enemy spy networks. We hope that the judiciary will take care of his situation.” he used his statements.

Referring to the arrest of employees of the London-based opposition media outlet, which Iran has declared a “terrorist organization” for allegedly “inciting protesters to organize violent acts,” Fedevi said: “These people are not only affiliated with ‘Iran International’, a subsidiary of the enemy’s spy services, was also linked to the US spy and intelligence services,” he said.

On October 19, Iran declared the London-based opposition media organization Iran International a “terrorist organization” on charges that it “encouraged protesters who carried out violent acts.”
