Ukrainian leader Zelensky: “The situation at the front is heavy”
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy made the assessment that “the situation at the front is difficult”, stating that the Russian army continues to inflict heavy losses on Ukraine’s Donetsk front.
Zekenskiy recalled that the Russia-Ukraine war continues in the video message he shared on his Telegram account in the evening. Stating that the Russian army had suffered heavy losses to advance on the Donetsk front, Zelenskiy pointed out that the Ukrainian forces did not allow Russian troops to advance here.
Zelenskiy claimed that Russian forces are trying to “hold” the settlements they control in the Luhansk region and advance into the Kharkiv region and southern Ukraine. Stating that Russia committed a crime by starting a war in Ukraine, Zelenskiy said they are working hard to prosecute Russia’s high-level political and military officials.
Zelenskiy said: “We have already established cooperation with the International Criminal Court (ICC) and we will increase this cooperation. However, unfortunately, the current international legal instruments are not enough for justice (Ukrainian war).
