Bill Introduced to Ban Oil Exports as US Gas Prices Rise
Democrat Khanna, who has come to the fore harshly criticizing oil companies for rising gasoline prices in the country for a long time, introduced a bill in the House of Representatives.
The bill plans to ban oil exports if gasoline prices in the country exceed $3.12 per gallon on average.
“As big oil companies report sickening profits this week, American families are struggling to get gasoline at the pump,” Khanna said in a written statement. These companies must not be allowed to profit from the export of oil while we fight against the increase in oil prices in the country. This bill that I am introducing will ban oil exports if gasoline prices rise to 2019 levels.” she used the phrase. (AA)
