Is Biden wrongly blaming Trump for the disaster in Afghanistan?

About the editor: The Biden administration has really embraced former President Obama’s habit of blaming his predecessor for everything. Obama did it for at least six years, and so does President Biden now. (“Biden Review of Chaotic Afghan Disengagement Blames Trump,” Apr. 6)
The Biden administration bears full responsibility for the fiasco in Afghanistan. Former President Trump’s exit plan is conditioned. He said he had billions of dollars worth of military equipment and that the highly strategic Bagram Airfield was in American hands.
Biden’s retreat was not a retreat; it was a disorganized trail, a disorderly retreat.

About the editor: Thanks to The Times for causing the messy US withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021, especially for readers who missed the New Yorker’s coverage of the Trump administration’s negotiations that sparked the crisis.
In short, Trump has secretly surrendered to the Taliban if they don’t kill more American soldiers. His government has also pledged to withdraw all troops by May 1, 2021 and has pushed for the release of 5,000 Taliban prisoners to continue the deal.
In addition, Trump’s unprecedented refusal to accept a peaceful transition after losing the 2020 election severely limited his administration in updating Biden’s new team, unlike Obama’s dealings with the new Trump team in 2016 and 2017.
The Trump administration’s secret negotiations with the Taliban left Biden in the grip.
