Johannes Hoff Thorup: If it were up to me, I wouldn’t prefer the cold
Johannes Hoff Thorup, coach of Nordsjaelland, who will host Fenerbahçe tomorrow in the fifth match of Group H of the UEFA Europa Conference League, spoke at the press conference held at the Right to Dream Park, where the match will be played.
Thorup said they learned lessons from the first game in Istanbul and will take to the field accordingly: “Tomorrow’s game will be difficult for us.” Emphasizing that they have a chance in the group and that they intend to take advantage of it in the two important matches left, Thorup stressed that they want to get a good result against their opponents.
Responding to the question about weather conditions and snowfall, the Danish coach continued:
“If it were up to me, I wouldn’t prefer cold weather. Many of the players on the team are not Danish. That is why the cold and snowfall are not an advantage for us.”
Emphasizing that they have played important matches so far, but the match against Fenerbahçe is an even bigger fight, Thorup concluded his words as follows:
“The fans have a great interest in the game and that is why the game becomes even more important. We have prepared well and we want to win. It will be a complicated match for both sides. It will be a nice and interesting match for all of us. “We will see together what will happen.” (AA)
