Waters, who supported Palestine during his concerts, was declared an “anti-Semitic” for accounts supporting Israel.
PALESTINIAN FOOTBALL CLUB
Palestino Sports Club (Club Deportivo Palestino), founded in 1920 in the capital Santiago by almost 500 thousand Palestinians who emigrated to Chile in the 20th century, has a deep-rooted position in Chilean football. The club has two championships, in 1955 and 1958.
The immigrants, most of whom were citizens of the Ottoman Empire, were called “The Turks” in their new countries for this reason. (AA)
