Albania is one point away from Euro 2024

In the seventh week of the Euro 2024 qualifiers, Albania defeated the Czech Republic 3-0 at home and consolidated their first group place by beating Poland the previous week.

Albania, which will play the eighth qualifying round for Euro 2024, will play a friendly match at home against Bulgaria.

Albania, which is in Group E with Poland, Czech Republic, Moldova and Faroe Islands, occupies first place with 13 points, with 4 wins, one draw and one loss. Then, Czechia is in second place with 11 points and Poland is in third place, with 10 points in one more match.

Moldova, in fourth place, has 9 points, and the Faroe Islands, in last place, has 1 point.

ONE POINT WILL BE ENOUGH

If Albania gets a point in the last matches to be played in November, it will be able to participate in Euro 2024. This will go down in history as Albania’s second success in qualifying for the European Championship final.

In the ninth week of Group E, Albania will face Moldova at home on November 17 and the Faroe Islands away on November 20.

Poland, which has only one match left in the qualifying round, will face the Czech Republic at home. Czechia will face Moldova and Poland.

Albania, which leads Poland and the Czech Republic on goal difference, will participate directly in EURO 2024 if it gets at least one point in the match against Moldova on November 17.

BLOOD CHANGE BEFORE EURO 2024 QUALIFICATIONS

Brazilian coach Sylvio Mendes Campos Junior “Sylvinho” was named coach of the Albanian national football team in January.

An agreement was reached with Sylvinho, who replaced the Italian Edoardo Reja, until the end of Euro 2024.

The Albanian team also includes forward Sokol Cikalleshi, who plays for Konyaspor, one of the Trendyol Super League teams, Fatih Karagümrük defender Frederic Veseli, and winger Odise Roshi, who plays for Sakaryaspor, one of the Trendyol 1st League teams. (AA)
