10 more players were involved in the illegal betting scandal!

The investigation into illegal betting initiated by the Turin Prosecutor General’s Office in Italy remains on the country’s agenda.

Fabrizio Corona, known as the celebrity photographer who announced the names of the famous footballers involved in the betting scandal, stated in his statement to Corriere della Sera that, in addition to the players already mentioned in the scandal, 10 more players and participated 5-6 teams.

TONALI AGREED TO RECEIVE TREATMENT

Meanwhile, Corriere della Sera newspaper reported in another story on the subject that England’s Newcastle United player Tonali, who was notified by police that he was involved in an investigation into illegal betting while at the U.S. camp, facilities of the Italian National Team in Coverciano. FAGIOLI BETTED MORE THAN 1 MILLION EUROS

In the newspaper La Repubblica it was reported that the Juventus player Nicolo Fagioli, who was the first to be questioned in the framework of the betting investigation, placed bets worth more than 1 million euros.

Prosecutors conducting the investigation were said to be investigating whether Fagioli, who admitted to gambling, bet on his own team.

It was reported in the media that the Turin Prosecutor General’s Office intensified its work in the investigation into illegal betting.

In addition, it was reported that the sports prosecutor’s office of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) requested information from the Turin prosecutor’s office to examine the issue of sports sanctions.

INVESTIGATION OF ILLEGAL BETTING

The names of Nicolo Fagioli, 22, of Juventus, Nicolo Zaniolo, 24, of Aston Villa of England, and Sandro Tonali, of Newcastle United, have been included in the investigation into the illegal betting organization carried out the General Prosecutor’s Office of Turin. In Italy, which began with the discovery of the anti-mafia investigation, no one involved has so far been identified.

While Fagioli admitted that he had made a bet, he denied the allegations about Zaniolo and the press reported that Tonali was very upset.

Corona also named the 21-year-old Roman-Polish midfielder Nicola Zalewski on October 13, but so far no information from the judicial authorities regarding Zalewski’s participation in the investigation has been communicated to the press.

In Italy, a player who bets on football matches can be punished with a three-year suspension. This penalty may be increased if it is determined that the player has bet on the matches of the club in which he plays. (AA)
