The love triangle of Nicolo Zaniolo, Chiara Nasti and Mattia Zaccagni is back on the agenda
Italy emerged happy from the Euro 2024 qualifying match, but the celebrations between Nicolo Zaniolo and Mattia Zaccagni came to the fore in a slightly different way.
While the duo were selected for Italy’s first eleven in the 2-1 win against Ukraine at San Siro, Zaniolo, who was loaned from Galatasaray to Aston Villa, came into the match later in the 1-1 draw against North Macedonia on Saturday.
The relationship between the two is somewhat complicated by the fact that Zaccagni’s wife, the influencer Chiara Nasti, was with Zaniolo for a time. After Zaniolo and Nasti split in April 2021, Nasti began dating Lazio winger Zaccagni. The couple welcomed their son Thiago in November last year and married two months ago.

“TO ZANIOLO, SON OF ZACCAGNI”
The love triangle made headlines in May last year after Zaccagni’s Lazio rivals Roma fans serenaded Zaniolo during a parade with chants of ‘Zaccagni’s son Zaniolo’.
Zaniolo, who was playing for Roma at the time, scored the winning goal against Feyenoord in the final, allowing Roma to win their first European Cup in sixty years.
Thousands of Roma fans took to the streets of Rome to welcome the team to the city and Zaniolo clearly appeared to enjoy the cheers, with images showing him smiling.

Nasti and Zaniolo dated for a while before breaking up in April 2021.
INFLUENCE OF ZACCAGNI ON MANCINI’S ZANIOLO DECISION
Nasti, for her part, had to deactivate comments on her social media profile.
Zaniolo has a son with his ex-girlfriend Sara Scaperotta, but they separated while she was pregnant in 2021. A few days later, Zaniolo and Zaccagni were called up by then coach Roberto Mancini for the match against Argentina with Italy.
While Zaniolo’s departure from the squad sparked reports of tension between him and Zaccagni, the Roma forward of the time announced that he had to leave the squad due to his ankle injury.
THE SHORT ADVENTURE OF GALATASARAY BY ZANIOLO
Zaniolo arrived in Istanbul from Roma, joining Galatasaray for £13m in February and joining Aston Villa on loan last month.
The Italian player played only 42 minutes in the Premier League in the two games he played with Unai Emery this season.
