Historic victory! The first runner-up determined the last minute goal.

Spain beat Sweden to reach the FIFA Women’s World Cup final for the first time in their history

The first semi-final match of the 9th FIFA Women’s World Cup, co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand, was held at Eden Park in Auckland, New Zealand.

Sweden, who played in the final in 2003 and came third 3 times, including the championship in 2019, faced Spain, who couldn’t see past the last 16 rounds until this tournament. The score of the fight was determined in the last 10 minutes. Sweden, who took the lead in minute 81 with Paralluelo’s goal, responded with Blomqvist in minute 88. But Carmona, who took the stage in minute 89, ensured Spain’s victory from the field. Thus, Spain entered the final for the first time in its history.

Spain’s rival in the final will be determined after the Australia-England match to be played tomorrow. (AA)
