Despite many scoring chances: FCSG managed to draw 1-1 only with Servette.

Espen and Servette share the points after a hard game. This is after St. Gallen was far behind. Here is a reading game.

At the end of their forces, the Genevans literally dragged themselves to the final whistle. However, ten minutes before the end, the Austrian defender of “St. Gallen” Albert Valchi scored the ball into the net after a corner and made the score 1:1. It was a well-deserved, albeit rather low, salary for the Eastern Swiss, who had an advantage in the second half.

At first, Servette showed no signs of fatigue from Wednesday’s trip to Glasgow. Torgarant Chris Bedia took just six minutes to score his sixth goal in his seventh major game of the young season. Half an hour later, the strong goalkeeper of “St. Gallen” Ati-Zigi and the bar was prevented by a header from Nicolas Vouilloz to make the score 2-0.

Otherwise, however, the much more recent Eastern Swiss were in charge of what had been going on for a long time. They fired 25 shots at Geneva, so one point at the end was too little reward.

For Servette, the program remains reliable. As early as Tuesday, they should try to make up for a 2-1 loss in the first leg against Rangers in the Champions League qualifier. The change of coach René Weiler could also spark controversy. In the first half, he knocked out ex-St. Gallen player Derek Kutesa after only 38 minutes – the maximum penalty. And Hussein Tuati had to go down just fifteen minutes after he entered the field.
