Completed stage 20 of the Tour de France
The 20th stage of the Tour de France, considered the 110th most prestigious road cycling race this year, took place on the 133.5-kilometre track between Belfort and Le Markstein.
In the stage where the Slovenian athlete from the UAE Emirates team, Tadej Pogacar, won first place with a time of 3 hours, 27 minutes and 18 seconds, the Austrian athlete from the AG2R Citroen team, Felix Gall, came in second and the Danish Jumbo-Visma athlete, Jonas Vingegaard, came in third.
Chasing his second straight championship, Jonas Vingegaard held the 7 minute 29 second gap to his closest follower in the overall standings, 2020 and 2021 champion Tadej Pogacar.
The route will end with a 115-kilometre stage that will be held tomorrow in the capital, Paris.
