Arsenal finalize the signing of Declan Rice
British media have announced that Arsenal are about to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice in a deal worth more than £100 million ($127 million).
The 24-year-old Britain international was allowed to undergo a medical check this week before his transfer to London, The Guardian reported.
The report states that West Ham have accepted an offer of £100m and additional bonuses worth £5m, with the guaranteed part of the fee expected to be paid in three installments over two years.
West Ham chairman David Sullivan said last month that Rice could leave the club a year before his contract expires and the option to extend it for another 12 months.
Rice joined West Ham’s academy from Chelsea as a young player and has held a prominent place in the team since his debut in the 2017-18 season.
They played over 200 games for West Ham and emerged victorious in the last Conference League final.
