Jasper Philipsen wins the fourth stage of the Tour de France
Belgian athlete Jasper Philipsen of the Alpecin-Deceuninck team came first in the 182-kilometre stage between the cities of Dax and Nogaro of the 110th most prestigious cycling road race, the Tour de France, with a time of 4 hours 25 minutes 28 seconds.
Australian Caleb Ewan competing for the Lotto-Dstny team finished second, while German athlete Phil Bauhaus from the Bahrain Victorious team finished third.
The leader of the general classification, the British Adam Yates (UAE Emirates), retained the yellow jersey with a total time of 18 hours 18 minutes 01 seconds.
The day will continue tomorrow with the 163-kilometre stage between the towns of Pau and Laruns.
The tour will end in Paris, the capital of France, on Sunday, July 23, with the completion of 21 stages. (AA)
