The Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina parted ways with Faruk Hadzibegic
The Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (NFSBIH) announced that it has parted ways with national team coach Faruk Hadzibegic.
In the statement issued by NFSBIH, it was stated that Hadzibegic, who has been the coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina National Team since January, will no longer carry out this task.
The statement read: “As a result of the meeting held this morning by the NFSBIH President, Vice President Zeljkovic and Hadzibegic, it was decided to end the mutual cooperation. As NFSBIH, we thank Hazdibegic for everything he has done for the team thus far and we wish him success in his future career.” statements were included.
In local media it was reported that the three defeats in the matches of Slovakia, Portugal and Luxembourg in the Euro 2024 Qualifiers (EURO 2024) became effective in the departure of Hadzibegic.
Hadzibegic, 65, who also coached the Bosnia and Herzegovina National Team in 1999, had coached Gaziantepspor in 2005, Diyarbakırspor and Denizlispor in 2006.
Hadzibegic, who was appointed to manage the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team again in January, received a huge reaction from fans after losing 2-0 to Luxembourg in EURO 2024 Qualifying Group J on June 20. (AA)
