13 players join

In the second week of preparation for the World Cup, national coach Inka Grings selected 13 new players. Thus, the pool grows to 27 players.

Ana-Maria Crnogorcevic (Barcelona), Alicia Lehmann (Aston Villa), Noel Maritz, Lia Valti (Arsenal) and Elvira Herzog (Leipzig) complete the Swiss team from the international leagues. From local clubs, Laura Felber, Sandrine Mauron, Kumba Sou (all Servette), Fabienne Hamm, Seraina Pübel, Marion Rey, Nadine Riesen and Julia Stirley (all FC Zurich) joined.

In general, the Swiss players refuse four preparatory camps – each has a ratio of challenges and lineups. The final squad for the World Championship will be announced on Monday, July 3 in Zurich.

Switzerland will play two international matches before leaving for the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, which will be held from 20 July to 20 August. On June 30, Zambia will compete in Biel, while Switzerland will face Morocco on July 5 in Winterthur.
