Ounce Jabeur wins fourth round ticket at French Open
Last year’s Wimbledon and US Open finalist, Tunisian Ons Jabeur, faced Olga Danilovic, the 105th Serb, in the women’s singles 3rd round match on Day 7 of the French Open ( Roland Garros) held in Paris, the capital of France. Jabeur won the match, which lasted for two hours and 12 minutes, in sets of 4-6, 6-4 and 6-2, and jumped into the round.
The Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia (seeded 14) won 2-1 over the Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova (23), with sets that ended 5-7, 6-4 and 7-5, and left her mark in the fourth round.
Lesia Tsurenko of Ukraine defeats Canadian 2019 US Open champion Bianca Andreescu (6-1, 6-1), Slovakian Anna Karolina Schmiedlova, USA’s Kayla Day 4, 7-6) with a score of 2-0.
In men’s singles they beat the Danish Holger Rune (6), the Argentine Genaro Alberto Olivieri 3-0 (6-4, 6-1, 6-3), the Argentine Francisco Cerundolo (23), the American Taylor Fritz (9) 3 -1 (3-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-5), the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov (28) defeated the German Daniel Altmaier 3-0 (6-4, 6-3, 6-1) and advanced to the 4th round.
