Infantino Valesan told WHO delegates in the presence of Berset that people often approached him as he walked the streets here in Switzerland. They also congratulated the FIFA President on the “great job” he has done. “I was glad about it until I realized that they consider me the president,” Infantino said in a video of his speech released by the WHO.
Berset was visibly surprised in the video. In fact, there are some similarities between the two men. They are both presidents from Switzerland, they are in their early 50s, and both are bald. Obviously, this does him credit, the FIFA President continued, but: “Since we are both present today, they can all testify: he looks much better than me.”
In the end, Infantino resigned himself, declaring that Berset’s task – like the task of everyone present at the meeting – was “much, much more important” than his own. The 76th annual WHO conference in Geneva will run until 30 May. 20 Minutes was the first to report on Infantino’s performance.
