Kybunpark: away sector open for last home match

Fans from Sion are allowed to come to the game in St. Gallen on Trinity Monday. That’s what the regulators decided.

It was quiet on Thursday evening during FC St. Gallen’s games in Zurich against GK and FC Lucerne away against Sion. “The approval bodies have come to the conclusion that the meetings can take place in a sporting and fair atmosphere,” says Paul Winicker, chair of the working group.

If this were not the case, then the visiting sectors would have to be closed in St. Gallen and Lucerne in the last games of the season.

There is no closure, fans from Valais are allowed to travel to St. Gallen and fans from Geneva to Lucerne. Guest sectors remain open.

Winicker: “The concept of permitting authorities to take short-term action in case of serious incidents in the context of Super League games remains in place.”

Following serious unrest between FC St. Gallen fans and FC Lucerne fans on Tuesday, the authorities decided that these fans would not be allowed to attend away games in the away sector for Thursday’s matches.

It was decided that next season, if the two clubs concerned met directly, the away sectors would also remain closed.
