The watch he was wearing on his wrist was stolen by thieves after Sertaç Şanlı, a national basketball player for Barcelona, one of the teams in the Spanish Basketball League (ACB), went to a restaurant with his wife. Sertaç Şanlı, in his statement, stated that there was no physical shock in the incident and that his condition was very good.
The incident occurred on Saturday, May 27. Sertaç Şanlı and his wife, after saying goodbye to their friends as they left the restaurant, were getting ready to take a taxi, and one of the two people running behind them took the watch off the national basketball player’s wrist. The robbers then quickly fled the scene. An investigation was launched immediately after the incident.
Regarding the incident, Sertaç Şanlı said, “After having dinner with my wife in a restaurant, we came across an unfortunate event. After saying goodbye to our friends, as we were getting into the taxi, the thieves quickly came after us and took my watch off my wrist. We couldn’t understand how it happened. There was no physical shock, they did not hit us. My wife and I are in good health. Our condition is good,” he said.
