Eden Hazard is on the brink of retirement! Alternative to MLS
Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard is said to be “seriously considering” leaving football once his contract expires. Hazard “feels that he is doing everything he can in football” and may decide to leave football in 2024 after Real Madrid’s term ends, reports Relevo.
Hazard’s childhood dream was to play for Los Blancos, but things have not gone to plan since his transfer to La Liga and the Chelsea legend suffered a series of injuries that affected his playing time.
The article mentions that after the Belgian footballer recently retired from the national team, he believes he has achieved all he can in football and might consider retiring. But the 32-year-old “leaves the door open if he gets a great offer to play football again with gusto.”
It is not yet known if the winger will consider playing again after the expiration of his contract with Madrid, but he has acknowledged that he will remain a Los Blancos player until 2024.
“It’s been a tough year, but it’s good to be part of a great team,” said Hazard, who has played just 337 minutes this season.

LOOKING AT MLS
Hazard has recently been associated with MLS and is believed to be willing to play in North America if an offer comes through.
Former Real Madrid star Gareth Bale decided to return to playing in MLS late in his career and signed for LAFC before retiring at the age of 33. Another Real Madrid legend, Mesut Özil, also said goodbye to his career early and left football in March at the age of 34.
Hazard could be the third player to end his career prematurely after a spell at Real Madrid and could follow in the duo’s footsteps. While the future is not yet known, this legacy of Hazard, who was once named Premier League season MVP, will nullify his success in La Liga.
