River Plate, under the technical direction of Martín Demichelis, won 1-0 with a Miguel Borja penalty in the match played at the Monumental Stadium.

In a game where there were tense moments, Borja kept his cool and defeated former Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero at 90+3, and the fight was largely due to Romero’s reaction.

The stadium, packed with 83,000 fans, was abuzz with enthusiasm when Borja scored and his teammates congratulated him as if he had scored in the World Cup final.

The goalkeeper Romero assured that it was provoked by Agustín Palavecino. After the game, Romero said: “We leave with a very bitter and sad feeling”, and said about the argument: “Palavecino came to yell at our faces after the goal. I reacted well, grabbed her around the waist and told her why he was doing this. My companions thought that he was going to fight and they all came ”.
