Wolfsburg beat Arsenal in the Women’s Champions League final
Wolfsburg, who eliminated Arsenal at the end of extra time in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, will face Barcelona in the final.
In the organization’s semifinal rematch, Arsenal representing England and German Wolfsburg faced each other. In the game played at the Emirates Stadium in London, the capital of England, Arsenal, Stina Blackstenius in minute 11 and Jen Beattie in minute 75; Wolfsburg rocked the net with Jill Roord in the 41st minute and Alexandra Popp in the 58th minute and the fight ended with a score of 2-2.
Due to the end of the first match of the semifinals with the same score, the fight went to extra time. Wolfsburg won 3-2 on Pauline Bremer’s 119th-minute goal and became the second team to reach the final after Barcelona.
