Borussia Dortmund, one of the teams in the German Bundesliga, extended the contract of captain Marco Reus until 2024. In the statement made by the club, it was noted that the 33-year-old footballer’s contract was extended for another year.

Reus, who twice won the German Cup with Borussia Dortmund, is 16 goals behind the club record with 161 goals from all lanes.

Regarding his contract extension, Reus said: “There is only one goal we are focusing on right now, and that is the German championship. I want to give my best for my club, where I have spent more than half my life. “For me, there is still nothing better than scoring a goal in the most beautiful stadium in the world, in front of the best fans in the world.”
