AKP candidate: there is actually no crisis, purchasing power has increased
AKP Kayseri deputy candidate Emine Timuçin made interesting assessments on the economy in the election special program she attended on TV1 broadcast in Kayseri.
“THERE IS NO REALLY CRISIS”
Expressing that the citizens they meet during their election campaigns are mostly concerned about the economy, AKP’s Timuçin said:
* “In the countryside, the citizens talk above all about the economy. We are in an effort with improvements in the minimum wage, which will not happen in Turkey’s century. In fact, there is no crisis. A lot of news comes from abroad. Our citizens from Bulgaria come there and buy from us. I have many friends abroad. They can’t find it there, they go to the Türkiye borders on weekends and do their shopping.”
“THEY ARE WATCHING TURKEY BECAUSE THEY CANNOT FIND PRODUCTS ON THE SHELVES”
To the words of the host of the program Tuba Çalapverdi, “I think it has to do with the defeat of the Turkish lira against the foreign currency”, replied Emine Timuçin, “It is not related to the Turkish lira, it is because they cannot find products on the shelves”.
“BUYING POWER INCREASED MORE”
In addition to that, the host of the program said: “As a citizen, I cannot think that there is not an economic crisis.” Emine Timuçin of the AKP responded to these statements as follows:
* “There is no Turkey that has entered into an economic crisis in the process we are in right now. In the middle, there is a system that tries to establish a constant balance with respect to the continuous increases in the markets related to purchasing power. Like Turkey, the gap between consumers, producers and sellers is constantly widening.
* We as a government are trying to overcome this and close this gap. In fact, we do crunch a bit. We have the ratios that show the amount of bread bought 20 years ago at the minimum wage and the amount of bread bought today. If you can buy a hundred or a thousand loaves, you can buy 10 thousand of those with the current minimum wage. Purchasing power has increased even more.”
