Russian and Belarusian athletes react to the possibility of the Olympic Games!

Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky said the possibility of Russian and Belarusian athletes taking part in the 2024 Paris Olympics is incomprehensible.

Minister Lipavsky made statements to the press about the pronouncement of the International Olympic Committee on the athletes of these two countries.

Lipavsky said that he could not understand the possibility of Russian and Belarusian athletes being back on the world sports stage and reminded that Russian athletes were trained by Russia.

Noting that dozens of Ukrainian athletes whose Olympic dreams were shattered have lost their lives in the war, Lipavsky reacted to the possibility of Russian and Belarusian athletes taking part in the games.

The International Olympic Committee, in its statement yesterday, announced that previously banned athletes could be reinstated in the games under certain conditions, and many countries, including England and Poland, opposed this decision. (AA)
