LaMelo Ball closed out the season
LaMelo Ball, star quarterback for the Charlotte Hornets of the American Basketball League (NBA) team, who broke his ankle, said he hopes to get healthy by next season’s training camp.
After spraining his left ankle three times and breaking his right ankle three times this season, Ball, who can play 36 games, answered questions from the media at the Charlotte Hornets-Indiana Pacers game he went to watch.
When the 21-year-old basketball player was asked if he would be ready for training camp in September, he said: “It doesn’t matter how many games I play as we don’t get a chance to play the game. I am trying to get through the rehab process as best as possible and get back to my healthiest state. Now I am preparing for the next season, ”he said.
Ball, who won rookie of the year in 2021 and was selected as an All-Star in 2022, averaged 23.3 points, 8.4 assists and 6.4 rebounds through Feb. 28, when he was injured this season. (AA)
