Penalty against PSV fan who attacked Sevilla goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic: 40-year ban
Sevilla goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic was attacked by a Dutch fan during a PSV game in the Europa League last month. PSV announced the punishment imposed on the fans who attacked Dmitrovic in the incident at Phillips Stadium.
During the match in Eindhoven, a fan jumping onto the field attacked Dmitrovic and the Serbian goalkeeper neutralized the fans by protecting himself. The 20-year-old attacker, who fell to the ground with a punch to Dmitrovic’s face, was sentenced to three months in prison by the East Brabant District Court, with a one-month suspension.

In the statement issued by the Eredivisie club, it was announced that the attacker has been prohibited from entering the stadium for 40 years and that proceedings have been initiated to compensate the damages suffered by the club. In addition, with the decision made by the Attorney General’s Office, he will not be able to walk through Phillips Stadium for 2 years.
As a result of the investigation, it was learned that the attacker was prohibited from entering the stadiums until 2026, but he entered the PSV-Sevilla match thanks to a ticket bought by a friend.
