Zlatan Ibrahimovic called up to the Swedish national team at the age of 41

Milan’s star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 41, has been called up for the Belgium and Azerbaijan matches that Sweden will play in the Euro 2024 Qualifying.

Sweden coach Janne Andersson brought Ibrahimovic into the squad for the Belgium and Azerbaijan games after a lengthy injury. Ibrahimovic played his last match for the national team last year when he lost to Poland in the World Cup qualifier.

Ibrahimovic, who played for Milan in Italy’s Serie A, returned to the green courts for the first time last month after a 9-month injury. Thus, İbrahimovic was awarded the title of “the oldest player to play in Serie A during the period when the three-point system was applied”. (AA)
