Cristiano Ronaldo kicks bottles after Al Ittihad match
The Portuguese soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo, who played for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, could not control his nerves after the away game against his rival, Al Ittihad, on the way to the championship.
The 38-year-old footballer, who played the entire game, could not avoid a 1-0 defeat and slip back to second place on the scoreboard. In the match, which was billed as the Saudi Arabian derby, all eyes were on Ronaldo, but the experienced striker finished the second successive match without scoring.
With the final whistle of the game, Ronaldo’s teammates tried to comfort him, who said angrily. However, as the tunnel leading to the dressing room approached, footage of Ronaldo kicking water bottles to the side of the pitch was shared on social media.
Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, sadly left the field as fans applauded him. The experienced striker, who struggled to make an impact throughout the match, was unable to get past Al Ittihad goalkeeper Marcelo Grohe in some key positions.
Al Ittihad, under the leadership of Nuno Espirito Santo, former manager of Premier League Wolverhampton, won 1-0 with Romarinho’s 80th-minute goal and took the lead from Al Nassr with 10 weeks to go in the league. Al Nassr has 46 points and Al İttihad has 47 points.
