Vinicius Jr., star of Real Madrid, sanctioned for racism
The Permanent State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport in Spain has fined and sanctioned a fan who racially insulted Real Madrid footballer Vinicius Jr. during the Mallorca-Real Madrid match.
The commission attached to the Higher Sports Council announced its decision on the fans who would have racially insulted the Brazilian Real Madrid footballer Vinicius from the stands during the Mallorca-Real Madrid match played in the Spanish La Liga on February 5.
The commission imposed a ban on all sports competitions for 12 months with a fine of 4,000 euros for fans who commit a racist act.
Regarding the fan in question, the Spanish National Police demanded a fine of 3,000 euros and 6 months of disqualification from carrying out sports competitions.
On the other hand, the commission declared the Barcelona-Real Madrid match to be played in the League on March 19 as “high risk”. (AA)
