Vaduz sacks manager Seeberger after just four games

Jürgen Seeberger is no longer the coach of FC Vaduz. In their four games on the touchline, Vaduz has only scored two points.

“FC Vaduz has taken the decision to immediately terminate cooperation with head coach Jurgen Seeberger,” the club announced. The reason is “internal analysis and different perceptions of achieving goals.”

After four games under Seeberger, Vaduz have two draws and two defeats.

Sporting director Franz Burgmeier says: “Unfortunately, over the past few weeks, we have found that the management of the club in the current squad lacks the prospect and faith to improve quickly.”

The team is temporarily led by Jan Mayer, coach of the second team, and assistant coach Walter Thome.

FC Vaduz also has access to this. Tim Väyrynen of Finland, runner-up in Kuopion Pallsoeura. The 1.91m striker and former international scored 15 goals and provided seven assists in 36 games last year.

It is not yet clear whether the 29-year-old can be used in the next game. As the transfer was made outside of the transfer window, exceptional permission was requested from the SFL. Väyrynen’s contract is valid until the end of the year.
