Dunk and 3-point competition held at NBA All Star
Mac McClung of the Philadelphia 76ers won the 2023 American Basketball League (NBA) All-Star Dunk Competition.
On the second day of organization held in Salt Lake City, United States, talent, triple and dunk competitions were held.
Trey Murphy of the New Orleans Pelicans and Mac McClung of the Philadelphia 76ers advanced to the finals in the highly anticipated dunk contest.
Murphy averaged 49 points on his final dunks. McClung was the winner of the competition, where the jury awarded a full 50 points to both dunks.
The last dunk of the 24-year-old McClung, who played for the Delaware Blue Coats, one of the NBA Development League teams, before signing a contract with the 76ers on February 14, stirred up the crowd in the hall.
LILLARD WINS THE 3 NUMBERS CONTEST
Buddy Hield, the Indiana Pacers’ 2020 champion, his teammate Tyrese Haliburton and Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers squared off in the final of the three-point contest. Lillard, who converted the last 4 shots to baskets and increased his score to his 26, won his first championship in the competition, one point ahead of Hield. The Utah Jazz team, consisting of Jordan Clarkson, Walker Kessler, and Collin Sexton, won the talent competition. (AA)
