“WE PROVIDE CONSULTING SERVICE”
Speaking to SER Catalunya radio and explaining that he made similar statements to the prosecution, the owner of the company Negreira said that they gave Barcelona verbal advice, they always acted impartially and there was no flow of information that could favor the Catalan club.
In statements to the same radio, Josep Maria Bartomeu, who was president of Club Barcelona between 2014 and 2020, stated that he knew that payments to the company had been made since at least 2003 and that these payments ended in 2018 with the decision of cut club expenses.
The president of Barcelona, Joan Laporta, for his part, spoke in writing on the subject and defended the opinion that “it is not at all a coincidence that this news is coming out now.” Laporta pointed out that if necessary they will take legal action to protect the interests and honor of the club.
